Ceramic Beings
In this series, clay is not merely a vessel, but a body that participates in emergence together with the hands, touch, movement, and imagination. Eyes, mouths, openings, flowers, and traces draw one another together, allowing each work to slowly grow into a life that can gaze, breathe, and respond before it is named.

Inner Form
As the first work in Clay and Vessels of Life, Inner Form becomes the series' first threshold, where inner images slowly appear through clay, openings, and vessel-like form.
Curated Entry
Seeing How Life Dwells in Vessels
The series may be entered through five representative works: from the first Inner Form to Not a Vase, which resists being defined by function, and onward to gaze, ritual, and looking back. Together, they make clay more than a vessel: it becomes a place where life gradually takes form through the interplay of gaze, breath, memory, and the hands.

Flower Spirit Ritual: A Flower Spirit Wearing a Great Blossom Hat
This one-minute video approaches the work through a slow voiceover: flowers, fruit, and openings rest on a clay altar, like an elegant woman wearing a great blossom hat and gazing in silence.

The Formation of Life Vessels
This section begins with vessel forms, openings, and bodies, allowing clay to gradually move beyond simple function. Inner images are not placed inside a container; they gradually emerge through the interplay of clay, the hands, and changing form.

Gaze and Signals
Eyes, expressions, and unspeakable signals emerge here, turning viewing from an external act into a mutual response between work and viewer.
Beheld Objects
This group of three beheld objects feels like three moments of being seen. They stand close together, yet each keeps its own silence.

Ceramic Beings does not place life into clay. Through the movement between clay, hands, touch, gesture, and imagination, form slowly appears before it is named.
As the process became freer, I often no longer knew where my hands would lead; only as the form emerged did I begin to see eyes, voices, flowers, memories, and lives that had not yet been named.
